Application Process

The application process for weatherization services is exceedingly simple.

• Fill out a one-page “permission to enter” form, which allows us to enter your building.

• Our surveyor enters your building and contacts the tenants to determine income eligibility.

• One of our representatives determines the building’s specific needs. The representative identifies potential energy and operational improvements, and prepares a detailed and specific proposal to determine the extent of the work.

• ODA’s staff and landlords review the type and extent of the work recommended, and work begins when agreement is arrived at.

• Throughout the weatherization process, our administrative staff conducts regular inspections of the work to makes sure that the work conforms with what was originally agreed upon.

• Once completed, there is a post-weatherization inspection to ensure quality, effectiveness, and compliance to all regulations.
